PERSHING NURSE VISION STATEMENT
On my honor I’ll do my best
To promote good health in the Pershing nest
I’ll help students to be physically healthy
To be emotionally and mentally wealthy
I’ll encourage their productivity
And monitor their growth activity
I‘ll check to see if they can see and hear
I’ll give a listening ear to whatever they fear
I’ll keep a record of every immunization date
I’ll send a notice to anyone who’s late
I’ll look for scoliosis with a screening check
I’ll screen for Acanthosis Nigricans on the back of the neck
I’ll battle diabetes, asthma and obesity
Because in this ever changing society it’s a necessity
I promise to put children first
Because one day they’ll rule the universe
This is my vision as the Pershing Nurse
More important to me than money in my purse
Yes, this is the vision I want to impart
Truly, this is the vision I hold in my heart
