Learn chess from a master!   National Chess Master Jeff Ashton visits Pershing on most Wednesdays to teach chess to the Pershing Chess Club.  Mr. Ashton also teaches chess at other schools, including T.H. Rogers. You can find out more about Mr. Ashton at his website.

Pershing’s Wednesday chess classes (7:30-8:30 a.m.) are open to students who are Masters Members [link to description of Master Members on Home Page]  of Pershing’s Chess Club.  If you are curious about Mr. Ashton’s classes, you can always attend one class for free.
