HISD and the Council of PTAs are hosting a STAAR presentation for parents on Thursday, Feb. 16, from 6:30 – 8 p.m. in the board auditorium at Hattie Mae White. This is a great opportunity for parents who were unable to attend their school’s presentation to learn about STAAR.

The Pershing SDMC has voted to adopt a new grading policy for the 2012 Spring Semester.  Copies of the policy will go home on Wednesday, December 7th.  Please review the new policy and then sign a copy to return to your child(ren)'s advisory teacher by December 16th.

Procedures for Returning Volunteers and New Volunteers

Thank you for your interest in volunteering in the Houston Independent School District. Effective October 3, 2011, the HISD volunteer database will begin updating volunteer information and accepting identification for resubmission for the criminal history background check process on all returning volunteers.

*A returning volunteer is a person who has already registered online and has been cleared to volunteer in HISD prior to June 1, 2011.
