Friday, May 18th was a great day, thanks to all of the mustaches purchased by the faculty and staff at Pershing MS.  All proceeds will go to the Mustachio Family to help with medical expenses.

Firehouse Subs Fundraiser for Mr. Mustachio

This Friday, May 18th 4-9pm Firehouse Subs (3924 Bellaire Blvd., adjacent to Whole Foods in West U) will donate 10% of all sales from 4 to close on Friday, May 18th!

Firehouse Subs is joining the Pershing PTO in supporting the Mustachio Family! Jason Mustachio, a 7th grade teacher at Pershing Middle School, suffered a major stroke about a month ago. Thankfully, he is making a slow, but steady recovery.

Thank you for your support and remember to buy your subs at Firehouse this FRIDAY!!!!!

We are currently making appointments for registration. 

To register a student, you must present the following:

1.    Proof of residence in Pershing's attendance zone. 

         Acceptable forms are:

a)    a current utility bill (gas, water or light).

b)    a current lease with your child’s name on it.

c)    Additional mail addressed to the parent and received at the address may be required.

2.    Copy of the legal guardian's ID with an address that matches the property    address.

3.    Current shot record.

4.    Copy of the most recent report card, TAKS/ STAAR and Stanford Scores.  Admittance to 6th Grade is contingent upon receipt of the final report card showing promotion to the next grade.

5.    Birth certificate and Social Security card.

Any student interested in trying out, playing or participating in sports at Pershing Middle School for the 2012-2013 school year will have the opportunity to have a physical examination from a doctor at Pershing Middle School in the gym during the school day on May 30, 2012 from 1:00 until 4:00.The cost of the physical examination will be $20 and only cash will be accepted. Please bring your physical examination form signed by both the parent and student along with the $20 cash with you to the gym on the day of the exam to receive your physical. Physical examination forms can be picked up in the boy’s coach’s office. If you have any questions, please call the coach’s office at (713) 295-5240 ext. 396 and any coach will be able to assist you.

Hey Pandas! Pre-order your school supplies for the 2012-2013 school year. Checks are accepted in the main office until June 1st.
